Replacement Lamps
Metal halide bulbs become dimmer
with age and use, as a result we recommend changing your halide bulbs
every 12 to 18 months depending on use. When ordering metal halide bulbs
remember that there are three kinds of bulbs horizontal (marked "HOR" on
bulb), base up (marked "BU" on bulb) and universal ( marked "U" on bulb).
Horizontal bulbs must be burned in the horizontal position and the base up
bulb must be burned in a base up (vertical) position. The universal bulb
can be burned in either position however it puts off slightly less light
than the horizontal or the base up bulb. The bulbs marked "C" (example:
MH175C/U) have a phosphorous coating on the inside
of the glass to produce slightly more light in the red spectrum. These
coated bulbs have a slightly lower lumen output.

High Pressure Sodium Replacement
Lamp
High pressure sodium bulbs become dimmer with age and use,
as a result we recommend changing HPS bulbs every 18 to 24 months
depending on use. HPS bulbs can burn in any position.
