| Soilless mixes are used for hydroponic as well as
organic gardening. Promix is a mixture of sphagnum moss,
perlite, vermiculite, dolomite lime ( to stabilize the pH) and a wetting agent for even
water absorption. Promix comes in 3 cu. ft. bags that are ready to use and in 4 cu. ft.
compressed bales that "fluffs-up" to 7 - 9 cu. ft. of usable growing
medium. Promix comes in two different mixes; BX or HP. The BX has equal amounts of perlite and vermiculite while the HP has less vermiculite and more perlite, resulting in a "lighter" faster draining mixture.
