 | Total Dissolved Solids Meters - Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) meters and EC (electrical
conductivity) meters are used to monitor the strength of the nutrient solution.
Monitoring of the solution isn't critical for the hobby gardener unless exact control of
the growing environment is desired. A TDS pen is, however, a very handy tool to
have around and, if used regularly can save you money on nutrients and help guaranty a
good harvest. We carry both continuous and handheld Meters.

pH Testers -
We have inexpensive pH "strip" testers and "drop" testers. We
also stock several makes of pH
"pens". These pens make quick work of pH measurement, just turn the pen on and
dip the tip in the nutrient tank, the pH value is displayed on the LCD display. There are
also several continuous monitoring pH instruments that gives you the pH reading at a
glance.

makes a Plant Light Intensity Meter that will measure sunlight, fluorescent
and H.I.D. lighting. No batteries required. Digital Instrument makes a very high
quality Digital Foot-Candle Meter. This pocket sized unit is very handy for
balancing lights in a multi-light garden.
